Overnight incidents 24/25 April 2024

Aston firefighters were called out to an accidental chimney fire at a premise on Leopold Avenue, Dinnington, Rotherham at 7:50pm. The crew left the scene at 9pm.

Three fire crews from Central, Lowedges and Rotherham stations attended a road traffic collision at 8:05pm on Hastilar Road, Sheffield. Two vehicles were involved and one was on it’s roof. No on was trapped in the collision. There was one casualty who was left in the care of the ambulance crew. Firefighters left the scene at 9:05pm.

Firefighters from Aston station were called out to a deliberate rubbish fire at 10:05pm on Leicester Road, Dinnington, Rotherham. The crew left the scene at 10:20pm.

A car was deliberately set on fire at 10:20pm on St James Street, Balby Bridge, Doncaster. Firefighters from Doncaster station attended the incident. They left at 11pm.

Parkway firefighters were called out to a deliberate van fire at 12:25am on Sunnybank Crescent, Brinsworth, Rotherham. The crew came away at 1am.

Firefighters from Central, Rivelin, Aston and Edlington stations were called out to reports of a man in water at Neepsend Lane, Sheffield at 1:45am. Firefighters rescued the man from the water bank using a water rescue walkway. The man was left in the care of the ambulance crew. Firefighters left the scene at 2:50am.

A car was deliberately set on fire at 2:15am on Doncaster Road, Armthorpe, Doncaster. Firefighters from Doncaster station attended the incident. They left at 2:50am.

Three fire crews from Lowedges, Central and Edlington stations attended a premise fire at 2:40am on Ryecroft View, Sheffield. The accidental fire was in the conservatory. All occupants were already out of the premise when crews arrived. Firefighters left the scene at 3:50am.

Adwick firefighters were called to an out of control accidental garden fire at 4:35am on Caxton Road, Woodlands, Doncaster. Crews left the scene at 5:30am.

A shed was deliberately set on fire at 6:35am on Byron Street, Great Houghton, Barnsley. Firefighters from Dearne station attended the incident. The crew left the scene at 7:20am.
