Overnight incidents 25/26 June 2020

Cudworth firefighters attended a fence fire at 7:10pm on Stocks Lane, Barnsley. The fire is believed to have started accidentally. The crew left the scene at 8:30pm.

Three fire crews from Doncaster and Edlington stations were called out to a kitchen fire at 8:35pm on Apley Road, Hyde Park, Doncaster. The cooker was on fire, firefighters used a hose reel to put the fire out. The crew came away at 9pm. The fire was accidental.

Firefighters were called out to a deliberate rubbish at 9:10pm on Elgar Drive, Maltby, Rotherham. The left the scene at 9:40pm. The crew left at 11:45pm.

Three fire crews from Birley Moor and Parkway stations were called out to a house fire at 11:10pm on Birley Spa Lane, Sheffield. The roof was well alight. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used hose reels to tackle the blaze. Luckily there were no casualties. The crews left the scene at 1:05am. Initial investigations show that this was an accidental fire.

At 12:45am firefighters from Dearne station were called out to rescue a man who had fallen down an embankment at Pastures Road Industrial Estate, Pastures Road, Mexborough, Doncaster. Firefighters used working at height equipment to help the man back on up, he was left in the care of the ambulance service. The crew left at 2am.

A Vauxhall Zafira car was deliberately set on fire at 1:05am on Stone Lane, Sheffield. Birley Moor station attended the incident. They came away at 1:35am.

Birley Moor firefighters attended a charity clothing bin which had been deliberately set on fire at 2am on Westfield Southway, Sheffield. The crew left at 2:30am.

A porta cabin was deliberately set on fire at 2:10am on Wakefield Road, Staincross, Barnsley. Two fire crews from Cudworth and Barnsley stations attended the incident. They left the scene at 4:10am.
