Overnight incidents 29/30 July 2024

A car was deliberately set on fire at 9:20pm on Hexthorpe Road, Hexthorpe, Doncaster. Firefighters from Doncaster station attended the incident. They left at 10:05pm.

Parkway firefighters were called out to a deliberate fire involving rubbish and a tree at 10pm on Richmond Park Road, Sheffield. The crew came away at 10:40pm.

Rossington firefighters attended a deliberate rubbish fire at 11pm on Staveley Street, Edlington, Doncaster. The crew left the scene at 11:30pm.

Firefighters from Birley and Aston stations attended a fire at flats on Woodhouse Court, Sheffield at 12am. Bins had been deliberately set on fire which spread to the building. Six flats were evacuated and four occupants suffered smoke inhalation. Crews left the scene at 2:55am.

Fire crews from Adwick, Askern and Doncaster stations were called out to a takeaway premise on Skellow Road, Skellow, Doncaster at 2:10am. The flat above the premise was affected by smoke. The fire is believed to have started accidentally. Crews left the scene at 3:55am.

Barnsley firefighters attended a deliberate fire involving cut trees which had spread to fencing at 2:30am on Millers Dale, Worsbrough Bridge, Barnsley. The crew came away at 2:55am.

Three fire crews from Edlington, Doncaster and Maltby stations were called out to a premise fire at 2:40am on Nicholson Road, Hexthorpe, Doncaster. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. Crews left the scene at 4:20am.

A lorry trailer was accidentally on fire at 6:10am on Claycliffe Road, Barugh, Barnsley. Firefighters from Barnsley station attended the incident. They left at 8:30am.
