Overnight incidents 3/4 February 2022

Rotherham firefighters were called out to a deliberate rubbish fire at 7:15pm on Hope Street, Thornhill, Rotherham. The crew left the scene at 7:35pm.

Three fire crews from Dearne, Cudworth and Barnsley stations attended a bungalow fire at 1:50am on Copeland Road, Wombwell, Barnsley. The occupant was already out of the property when crews arrived. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus worked quickly to extinguish the fire. The crews left the scene at 3:50am.

A wheelie bin was deliberately set on fire at 3:50am on St Aidan’s Rise, Sheffield. Firefighters from Central station attended the incident. They left at 4am.

Edlington firefighters were called out to a deliberate rubbish fire at 5:20am on Bolten Street, Denaby Main, Doncaster. The crew came away at 5:45am.

Firefighters from Central station attended a deliberate fire involving tyres at 6am on Canklow Road, Canklow, Doncaster. The crew left the scene at 6:30am.

Two fire crews from Barnsley and Cudworth stations were called out to a road traffic collision at 6:10am this morning on Upper Sheffield Road, Barnsley. The incident involved two cars, with one person trapped. Firefighters worked quickly to extricate the casualty. The crews came away at 7:25am.
