Overnight incidents 4/5 January 2023

Edlington firefighters were called out to a deliberate rubbish fire at 8pm on Sandford Road, Balby, Doncaster. The crew left the scene at 8:15pm.

Firefighters from Edlington station attended a deliberate fire involving grass and trees at 9:50pm on Harrogate Drive, Denaby Main, Doncaster. The crew came away at 10:05pm.

A car was deliberately set on fire at 11:40pm on Norbrook Way, Whiston, Rotherham. Firefighters from Maltby station attended the incident. They left at 12:15am.

Birley Moor firefighters were called out to a deliberate fire involving a tent at 12:10am on Moorgate Road, Moorgate, Rotherham. The crew left the scene at 12:25am.

Firefighters from Edlington station attended a deliberate rubbish fire at 1:15am on Armitage Road, Balby, Doncaster. The crew came away at 1:25am.

Two sheds were deliberately set on fire at 3:35am on allotments at Wakefield Road, Smithies, Barnsley. Firefighters from Barnsley station attended the incident. They left at 5:55am.

Three fire crews from Cudworth, Barnsley and Tankersley stations were called out to a premise fire at 6:15am on Victoria Street, Stairfoot, Barnsley. One man was given fire survival guidance by Control staff before firefighters arrived at the scene. Fire crews rescued the man via a ladder from the a first floor bedroom, he was given oxygen thearpy at the scene and then went to hospital. The fire is believed to have started accidentally. Crews left the scene at 7:40am.
