Overnight incidents 4/5 July 2023

Several fire crews were called out to a wildfire in fields at Flanderwell Lane, Sunnyside, Rotherham at 8:10pm. Firefighters worked quickly to extinguish the fire which is believed to have been started deliberately. Crews left the scene at 9:40pm.

Two fire crews from Askern and Adwick stations attended a deliberate fire involving a caravan at 11pm on Thorpe Bank, Thorpe In Balne, Doncaster. Crews came away at 12am.

A car was deliberately set on fire at 1:15am on Sandhill Court, Great Houghton, Barnsley. Firefighters from Dearne station attended the incident. They left at 1:50am.

Firefighters from Rotherham, Maltby and Dearne stations were called out to a flat fire at 5:40am on Norfolk Street, Rotherham. The occupant was already out of the premise when firefighters arrived. The fire is believed to have been started deliberately. Crews left the scene at 6:30am.
