Overnight incidents 8/9 March 2022

Two fire crews from Tankersley and Rotherham stations were called out to an accidental shed fire at 7:40pm on Bevan Way, Sheffield. Firefighters left the scene at 8:20pm.

Firefighters from Parkway and Birley Moor stations attended a road traffic collision at 8:30pm on Prince of Wales Road, Sheffield. One vehicle was on its roof with one man trapped. Crews helped the man out and he was taken to hospital by ambulance. Crews came away at 8:55pm.

Maltby firefighters attended a deliberate grass fire at 8:40pm on Braithwell Road, Maltby, Rotherham. The crew left the scene at 8:55pm.

A fire crew from Birley Moor station were called out to a deliberate fire at 10:40pm on a grass verge near a tram stop on Eckington Way, Sheffield. The crew came away at 10:55pm.

Firefighters from Adwick station attended a deliberate fire involving a fridge and settee at 11:15pm on The Crescent, Woodlands, Doncaster. The crew left the scene at 11:25pm.

Three fire crews from Doncaster and Edlington stations attended a fire at a hotel at Bennetthorpe, Doncaster at 12:35am. The accidental fire involved a tumble dryer in the cellar. Firefighters left the scene at 1:10am.

A car was deliberately set on fire at 2am on Cowley Way, Sheffield. Firefighters from Elm Lane station attended the incident. They left the scene at 3:10am.

Thorne firefighters were called out to two wheelie bins which had been deliberately set on fire at 2:20am on East Lane, Stainforth, Doncaster. The crew came away at 2:35am.

A wheelie bin was deliberately set on fire at 5:25am on Jubilee Street, Canklow, Rotherham. Firefighters from Rotherham station attended the incident. They left at 5:35am.

Rotherham firefighters were called out to a deliberate wheelie bin fire at 5:40am on Canklow Road, Canklow, Rotherham. The crew left the scene at 5:45am.
