Firefighters have been busy over the weekend attending a number of incidents across the county.

Crews were called out to nine vehicle fires, a garage fire, two shed fires, several rubbish fires and a number of premise fires which were cooking related, to name a few.

One premise fire on Wheatley Park Road in Bentley, Doncaster at 7:30pm on Saturday evening involved a microwave oven which was on fire.  Crews from Adwick and Doncaster stations attended the incident. The occupants were alerted to the fire by their smoke alarm which had been fitted by South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue in 2017.
