Three fire crews from Central, Birley Moor and Lowedges (green watch) stations were called out to a premise fire at 11:30am (17.02.21) on Goodwin Road Sheffield.

No one was in the premise at the time apart from three cats. Firefighters entered the building and safely rescued them all.  The cats were all given oxygen via the Smokeypaws oxygen masks.

The cats were taken to the vets and spent the night there, but have all made a full recovery.

The fire was accidental and had involved a kitchen appliance.

Firefighters left the scene at 12:40pm.
