Weekend incidents 10/12 March 2023

Friday 10 March

A car was deliberately set on fire at 7:45pm on Vikinglea Close, Sheffield. Firefighters from Parkway station attended the incident.  They left at 8:20pm.

Saturday 11 March

Two fire crews from Doncaster and Edlington stations were called out to a HGV on fire at 3:25am on Ontario Drive, New Rossington, Doncaster. The fire is believed to have started accidentally. Crews left the scene at 4:40am.

Firefighters from Rotherham, Maltby and Dearne stations attended a premise fire at 10:30pm on Netherfield View, Dalton, Rotherham. The accidental fire was in a bedroom and is believed to have started due to tea lights.  The occpant was suffering with smoke inhalation and was left in the care of the ambulance crew. Firefighters came away at 11:35pm.

A motorbike was deliberately set on fire at 10:45pm on St Annes Drive, Monk Bretton, Barnsley.  Firefighters from Cudworth station attended the incident. They left at 11:10pm.

Sunday 12 March

Two fire crews from Cudworth and Barnsley stations were called out to a deliberate fire involving an HGV tractor unit at 6:15am on Hawthorne Street, Shafton, Barnsley. The crews left the scene at 8:15am.

Rivelin firefighters were called out to an accidental chimney fire at 8:35am on Tofts Lane, Sheffield. The crew came away at 9:10am.

Firefighters from Barnsley station attended a fire in an outbuilding at 10:55am on Peel Street, Barnsley. The fire is believed to have started accidentally. The crew left the scene at 11:35am.
