Two fire engines attended a fire involving a caravan near St Edwins Close, Dunscroft, Doncaster after a call was received at 12.13am. One hose reel was used to extinguish the fire and firefighters had left the scene by 1.14am.
Four fire engines attended a house fire in a property in Darley, Worsbrough Dale after a call was received at 3.28am. The fire was extinguished by 4pm and crews came away at approximately 5.45am. They later reattended the scene at 9am when a section of the loft space collapsed into the first floor bedroom. This was extinguished by 9.15am.
Three fire engines attended a fire in flat on Park Road, Worsbrough, Barnsley after a call was received at 4.38am. The fire was out on arrival and was caused by a pan that had been left unattended on hob. Two people were taken to hospital who were suffering from smoke inhalation. The pan was removed from heat, and water applied and a ventilation fan was used to clear the smoke. The incident had been dealt with shortly after 6am.
One fire crew attended a car fire on Cemetery Road, Barnsley after a call was received at 1.52pm. One hose reel was used to extinguished the fire and the incident had been dealt with by 2.18pm.
One fire crew attend a car fire on Archer Road, Sheffield after a call was received at 6.27pm. One hose reel jet was used to extinguish the fire and the incident had been dealt with by 7pm.
One fire officer and a fire crew rescued a duckling which had fallen down a drain on Scholey’s Wharf, Mexborough, Doncaster after a call was received at 8.43pm. The incident was dealt with by 10.11pm.
Two fire engines attended a fire in a flat on Broomhall Street, Sheffield after a call was received at 9.48pm. The fire was caused by oil in a frying pan which had ignited. Fortunately the occupier was able to throw a fire blanket onto pan and leave the building, so the fire was out on arrival. Crews left the scene at 10.15pm.
