Weekend incidents 13/15 December

On Friday evening at 8:10pm Dearne firefighters were called out to a car fire on Warrne View, Rawmarsh, Rotherham. The fire is believed to have started accidentally. Firefighters left the scene at 8:30pm.

At 3:15am on Saturday morning two fire crews from Parkway and Birley Moor stations attended. A wheelie bin had been deliberately set on fire in a bin store on Spa Lane, Sheffield. Crews left at 3:35am.

An outbuilding was deliberately set on fire on Carter Lodge Walk in Sheffield at 3:50am on Saturday. A fire engine from Birley Moor station attended the incident. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel to put the fire out before leaving the scene at 4:55am.

Firefighters were called to a commercial building on Rawmarsh Road, Northfield, Rotherham at 11:35pm on Saturday night. An external air conditioning unit was on fire. Three fire engines attended from Rotherham, Dearne and Elm Lane. This was an accidental fire. Crews left at 12:20am.

At 5:45pm on Sunday afternoon Cudworth firefighters were called to a pigeon coop on fire on Lang Avenue, Lundwood, Barnsley. The owner had quickly opened the coop to release the birds. It is believed that the fire was started deliberately. Firefighters left the scene at 6:20pm.
