Weekend incidents 13 to 15 March

Central and Rivelin firefighters ventilated a property on Stumperlowe Park Road in Sheffield just before 10pm on Friday. A living long burner was the source of the fire, which had already been extinguished by the residents before firefighters arrived on the scene.

Penistone, Barnsley and Tankersley firefighters put out a fire involving a wooden garden shed on Birthwaite Road in Kexbrough around 10.30pm on Friday. It’s thought the blaze, which also spread to part of a brick built outbuilding, was started deliberately.

Dearne firefighters dealt with a fire involving some rubbish and a brick built shed on Beever Street in Goldthorpe just before 2pm on Saturday. They spent just over half an hour on the scene. It’s thought the fire was started deliberately.

A Range Rover was set alight on Forest Edge, Sheffield around 9.45pm on Saturday. The fire spread to a garage door and was dealt with by firefighters from Lowedges and Central fire stations.

Rubbish was piled up against a large tree on Roberts Road, Edlington and set alight at around midday on Sunday. Edlington firefighters extinquished the fire using a hose reel.

A car was set alight on Challoner Green in Sheffield around 3.30pm on Sunday. The fire was started deliberately and was dealt with by firefighters from Birley Moor fire station.
