Weekend incidents 14/16 January 2022

Five fire crews from Dearne, Barnsley, Cudworth and Central stations were called out to a flat fire at 4:45pm (Saturday) on High Street, Wombwell, Barnsley. Luckily there were no reports of any casualties. The fire is believed to have been started deliberately. The crews left the scene at 10:10pm.

Firefighters from Edlington and Rotherham stations attended a fire at a premise on High Street, Mexborough, Doncaster at 5:05pm (Saturday). The fire is believed to have started accidentally and involved a tumble dryer. The crews came away at 5:55pm.

A car was accidentally on fire at 5:35pm (Saturday) on John Street, Sheffield. Firefighters from Central station attended the incident. They left at 6:35pm.

Three fire crews from Birley Moor, Parkway and Central stations were called out to a deliberate skip fire at 6:20pm (Saturday) on Sheffield, Hackenthorpe, Sheffield. The crew came away at 7:15pm.

Edlington firefighters attended a small fire at the front of a building on St Johns Road, Edlington, Doncaster at 10:55pm (Saturday). The fire is believed to have been started deliberately. Crews left the scene at 11:45pm.

Firefighters from Central, Birley Moor, Rivelin and Parkway stations were called out to a caravan and building on fire at 10:05am (Sunday) on Irving Street, Sheffield. The fire is believed to have started accidentally. Crews left the scene at 1:20pm.
