Weekend incidents 17/19 December 2021

Rotherham firefighters were called out to an accidental fire at a premise on Woodside Walk, Munsbrough, Rotherham at 8:25pm (Friday). The fire involved a chip pan. Luckily there were no reports of any casualties. The crew left the scene at 9:15pm.

A car was accidentally on fire at 9:10am (Saturday) on Netherwood Road, Wombwell, Barnsley. Firefighters from Cudworth station were called out to the incident. They left at 10am.

Parkway firefighters attended a deliberate car fire at 7:50pm (Saturday) on Sheffield Lane, Catcliffe, Rotherham. The crew came away at 8:25pm.

Firefighters from Edlington station were called out to an accidental car fire at 10:10pm (Saturday) on Long Lane, Sprotbrough, Doncaster. The crew left the scene at 11pm.

Five fire crews from Birley Moor, Parkway, Central, Lowedges and Aston stations were called out to a premise fire at 8:05am (Sunday) on Sharrard Road, Sheffield. Firefighters rescued two elderly people from the property. The casualties both went to hospital. The fire is believed to have started accidentally. Firefighters left the scene at 10:45am.
