Weekend incidents – 18/19/20 November

Friday 18 November

Firefighters from Barnsley were called to Stocks Lane, Barnsley, at 11.03pm. Upon arrival they found a Ford Connect Van well alight. This was dealt with by 11.42pm and is thought to have been started deliberately.

Firefighters from Cudworth were called to Heelis Street, Barnsley, at 11.32pm. Upon arrival they found a Ford Mondeo well alight in an underground car park. This was dealt with by 0.13am and is thought to have been started deliberately.

Saturday 19 November

Firefighters from Central were called to Eastern Drive, Sheffield, at 5.03am. Upon arrival they found a BMW well alight on a field off Kenninghall Road. This was dealt with by 7.37am and is thought to have been started deliberately.

Firefighters from Elm Lane were called to Herries Road, Sheffield, at 10.46pm. Upon arrival they found a car well alight. This was dealt with by 11.19pm and is thought to have been accidental, with the fire coming from the engine bay as the driver was stopped at traffic lights.

Sunday 20 November

Firefighters from Parkway, Central and Rivelin were called to Don Road, Sheffield at 0.11am. Upon arrival they found smoke issuing from a warehouse. This fire had been started deliberately, with pallets stacked up against a shutter and set alight. The fire then spread internally and set light to some equipment. This was dealt with by 2.05am.

Firefighters from Rotherham were called to Midland Road, Masbrough, at 6.17pm. Upon arrival they found a small fire within a derelict bus depot. This was dealt with by 6.54pm and is thought to have been started deliberately.
