Weekend incidents 18/19 May 2024

Saturday 18 May

Crews from Doncaster and Adwick stations were called to a fire on Coopers Terrace, Doncaster at 4:01pm. On arrival firefighters used two hose reels to extinguish the fire that is believed to have been caused accidently by builders working on the property. Crews left the scene at 6:47pm.

Elm Lane crews attended a refuse fire on Market Street, Sheffield at 9:07pm. They left the scene at 9:24pm. The fire is believed to have been started deliberately.

Crews were called to a caravan fire on Lumley Street, Sheffield at 11:19pm. One hose reel was used to extinguish the fire which is believed to have been set deliberately. The incident had been dealt with by 11:48pm.

Sunday 19 May

One crew attended a fire involving rubbish on Nottingham Street, Sheffield after a call was received at 12:49pm. One hose reel was used to extinguish the fire which is believed to have been set deliberately. The incident had been dealt with by 1.11pm.

One crew attended a refuse fire on Wakefield Road, Barnsley after a call was received at 4:55pm. One hose reel was used to extinguish the fire and the incident had been dealt with by 5:43pm.

Crews from Parkway, Central, Elm Lane, Rivelin and Tankersley stations attended a large refuse fire on Clements Street, Sheffield. Three ground monitors and water from height via a turntable ladder was used to extinguish the fire. Crews left the scene at 11:52pm.

One crew attended a shed fire on North Park Lane, Owston, Doncaster after a call was received at 8:07pm. The incident had been dealt with by 9:13pm.
