Weekend incidents 18/20 February 2022

Two fire crews from Stocksbridge and Tankersley stations were called out to a premise on Manchester Road, Stocksbridge, Sheffield at 7:50pm (Saturday). The small fire involved a chip pan which had started accidentally. The crews left the scene at 10:05pm.

Fire crews from Maltby, Rotherham and Aston stations attended a premise at 10:15pm (Saturday) on Highfield Park, Maltby, Rotherham. The fire was accidental and was due to a log burner spreading to laminate flooring. The firefighters left the scene at 11:30pm.

A vehicle was deliberately set on fire at 11:15pm (Saturday) on Smithy Wood, Cowley Hill, Sheffield. Firefighters from Elm Lane station attended the incident. They left at 12am.

Three fire crews from Edlington and Doncaster stations were called out to a premise at 3:30am (Sunday) on Peakstone Close, Balby, Doncaster. The fire was accidental and involved a chip pan which was already out on our arrival. The crews left the scene at 4:05am.

An officer initially attended an incident on Medlar Court, Thorne, Doncaster at 3:51pm (Sunday) to several premises which had been damaged by the storm.  Two fire crews from Thorne and Doncaster were then called to asssist. Roof tiles were falling off a few properties and a gable end had collapsed. Luckily there were no casualties. Crews came away at 6:35pm.
