Two fire engines are parked up on an area of farm land, on a hill. The weather is dull and it appears to be in the late evening. Two firefighters can be seen in the distance, walking between the two fire engines.

Weekend incidents – 20/21/22 November

Friday 20 November

Firefighters from Rotherham were called to Brecks Lane, Herringthorpe, at 11.50pm. Upon arrival they found a VW car on fire in a farmers field. This was dealt with by 0.19am and is thought to have been started deliberately.

Saturday 21 November

Firefighters from Dearne were called to Lawrence Drive, Swinton, at 4.05am. Upon arrival they found three cars well alight. One Vauxhall Meriva, one Audi Estate and one Peugeot 207. This was dealt with by 5.10am and is thought to have been started deliberately.

Firefighters from Rotherham were called to North Street, Rawmarsh, at 4.58PM. Upon arrival they found a bonfire, including a sofa, had spread to a shed. This was dealt with by 5.38pm.

Firefighters from Edlington were called to a recycling centre on Bankwood Lane, New Rossington, at 7.32pm. Upon arrival they were directed to a electrical generator that had been set on fire. This was dealt with by 9.20pm and is thought to have been started deliberately.

Firefighters from Tankersley were called to Moor Ley, Birdwell, at 11.57pm. Upon arrival they found a shed well alight. This was dealt with by 0.42am and is thought to have started from a nearby wood burner.
