Weekend incidents 22/24 September 2023

Friday 22 September

Two fire crews from Barnsley and Cudworth stations were called out to a shed fire at 11:10pm on Cedar Crescent, Kendray, Barnsley. The fire is believed to have started accidentally. Crews left the scene at 12am.

Saturday 23 September

Firefighters from Dearne, Barnsley and Adwick stations attended an accidental kitchen fire at a premise on Norfolk Road, Great Houghton, Barnsley at 3am. Firefighters rescued two people from the property and a total of four people went to hospital. The crews came away at 4:50am.

A car was deliberately set on fire at 3:10am on Furlong Road, Harlington, Barnsley. Firefighters from Edlington station attended the incident. They left at 3:55am.

Three cars were deliberately set on fire at 4:35am on Ballfield Lane, Kexborough, Barnsley. Firefighters from Cudworth and Penistone station attended the incident. They left at 5:45am.

Dearne firefighters were called out to an accidental car fire at 12:30pm on Howdike Lane, Hooton Roberts, Rotherham. The crew left the scene at 1:05pm.

Firefighters from Thorne station attended a fire involving a motorbike and shed at 11:15pm on Axholme Green, Thorne, Doncaster. The cause of the fire is not known. Firefighters left the scene at 12am.

Sunday 24 September

A motorbike was deliberately set on fire at 12:50am on Corporation Street, Barnsley. Firefighters from Barnsley station attended the incident. They left at 1:40am.

Thorne firefighters were called out to a deliberate car fire at 5:10pm on Sour Lane, Fishlake, Doncaster. The crew came away at 6pm.
