Weekend incidents 23/26 August 2024

Saturday 24 August

A van was deliberately set on fire at 7:55am on Main Road, Wharncliffe Side, Sheffield. Firefighters from Rivelin station attended the incident. They left at 10:30am.

Firefighters from Birley, Aston and Parkway stations attended an accidental fire at a premise on Jasmine Avenue, Sheffield at 1:35pm. The crews came away at 3:25pm.

Central and Parkway firefighters were called out to an accidental fire involving a chip pan at 4:55pm on Maltravers Crescent, Sheffield. The crews left the scene at 5:35pm.

A motorbike was deliberately set on fire at 6:05pm on Shelley Drive, Herringthorpe, Rotherham. Firefighters from Rotherham station attended the incident. They left at 6:25pm.

Sunday 25 August 

Three fire crews from Barnsley, Cudworth and Tankersley stations were called out to an accidental fire involving a garage and car at 8:15pm on Monkspring, Worsbrough Dale, Barnsley. The crews came away at 9:40pm.

Firefighters from Cudworth, Tankersley and Barnsley stations attended a derelict building fire at 11:30pm on Brierley Road, Grimethorpe, Barnsley.  The fire is believed to have been started deliberately.  The crews left the scene at 4:20am.

A car was deliberately set on fire at 11:30pm on Errington Way, Sheffield. Firefighters from Central station attended the incident. They left at 12:20am.

Monday 26 August

Edlington firefighters were called out to a deliberate fire involving hay bales at 1am on Cadeby Lane, Cadeby, Doncaster. The crew left the scene at 7:20am.

Firefighters from Dearne station attended a deliberate van fire at 1:35pm on Fairfield Park, Manvers, Rotherham. The crew came away at 2:20pm.

A car was deliberately set on fire at 6:40pm on Eastern Avenue, Sheffield. Firefighters from Central station attended the incident. They left at 8pm.
