On Saturday at 09:56am we attended an accidental kitchen fire on Strafford Avenue in Elsecar, Barnsley. Tankersley and Dearne crews attended. The fire started had started in a fuse box within a kitchen cupboard. There was fire damage to the walls and ceiling of kitchen and smoke damage to the living room. Firefighters left at around 11:41am.
At 12:08pm, two crews from Rotherham attended an accidental kitchen fire on Selborne Street in Eastwood, Rotherham. A pan had been left on a cooker hob causing a small amount of smoke damage to kitchen. All occupants were out of the property on the arrival of our crews.
Still on Saturday, a crew from Edlington attended a deliberate fire on Wadworth WoodHouse Lane in Doncaster at 1:38pm. This was a car that had been set alight. After extinguishing the fire, firefighters left at around 2:56pm.
At 9:30pm on Saturday, firefighters from Edlington attended a car fire on Weston Road in Balby. This was deemed to be deliberate and was a black Land Rover that had been set alight. Crews left at around 10:13pm.
In the early hours of Sunday morning (00:03am), a crew from Tankersley attended a car fire on Finkle Street Lane in Wortley. The car had been deliberately set alight. Firefighters left at around 00:40am.
At 02:50am on Sunday morning, firefighters from Dearne attended a deliberate car fire on Lynwood Drive in Mexborough/ They left around 03:22am and this was a Vauxhall Astra that had been set alight.
In Sheffield at 10:45am, crews from Parkway and Central attended a house fire on Bramham Road. This fire was deemed to be accidental as a result of smoking materials. The occupant was outside to property on arrival and confirmed the fire was in the bedroom. The bedroom was totally damaged by the fire. There was also smoke damage to all of the first floor.
At 1:44pm on Sunday afternoon, one crew from Doncaster attended a deliberate car fire on Spansyke Street in Hexthorpe. Firefighters left at around 2:25pm.
