Weekend incidents 24/26 November 2023

Saturday 25 November

A car was deliberately set on fire at 1am on Main Street, Grenoside, Sheffield. Firefighters from Elm Lane station attended the incident. They left at 2:05am.

Maltby firefighters were called out to a deliberate car fire at 2:05am on Limekiln Lane, Maltby, Rotherham. The crew came away at 2:55am.

Firefighters from Edlington station attended a car fire on Westmorland Street, Balby, Doncaster at 2:15am. The fire is believed to have been started deliberately. The crew left the scene at 2:55am.

Two fire crews from Dearne and Rotherham stations were called out to a deliberate caravan fire at 2:40am on Maple Road, Mexborough, Doncaster. The crews came away at 3:55am.

Firefighters from Rotherham, Maltby, Parkway, Elm Lane and Birley stations attended a premise fire at 4:30am on Warwick Street, Moorgate, Rotherham. A number of casualties did go to hospital as a precaution. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. Firefigthers left the scene around 7am.

Three fire crews from Central and Rivelin stations were called out to a flat fire at 6:30pm on Powell Street, Sheffield.  Firefighters led the occupant out of the property. The fire is believed to have started accidentally in the kitchen. Crews left the scene at 7:40pm.

A vehicle was deliberately set on fire at 9:25pm on Beale Way, Parkgate, Rotherham. Firefighters from Rotherham station attended the incident. They left at 9:50pm.

Cudworth firefighters were called out to an accidental vehicle fire at 11:40pm on Churchfield Terrace, Cudworth, Barnsley. The crew came away at 12:30am.
