Weekend incidents 24/27 May 2024

Friday 24 May

Elm Lane firefighters were called out to a deliberate fire involving a motorbike at 7:15pm on Lytton Crescent, Sheffield. The crew left the scene at 7:30pm.

A car was deliberately set on fire at 11:40pm on Victoria Road, Stocksbridge, Sheffield. Firefighters from Stocksbridge station attended the incident. They left the scene at 12:25am.

Saturday 25 May

Three fire crews from Cudworth, Barnsley and Tankersley stations were called out to a hairdressers salon at 12:05am on Church Street, Royston, Barnsley. The fire is believed to have been started deliberately. Crews came away at 2:05am.

Firefighters from Birley station attended a deliberate vehicle fire at 12:05am on Rainbow Avenue, Sheffield. The crew left the scene at 12:40am.

A car was deliberately set on fire at 5:10am on Tickhill Road, Maltby, Rotherham. Firefighters from Maltby station attended the incident. They left at 6:30am.

Firefighters from Tankersley and Rotherham stations were called out to an accidental fire involving a vehicle on the M1 between junctions 35 and 34, Southbound at 12:20pm. Crews came away at 1pm.

Adwick firefighters attended a deliberate motorbike fire at 5:10pm on Churchfield Road, Campsall, Doncaster. Crews left the scene at 5:35pm.

A car was deliberately set on fire at 11:45pm on Birthwaite Road, Kexbrough, Barnsley. Firefighters from Barnsley station attended the incident. They left at 12:25am.

Sunday 26 May

Two fire crews from Barnsley station attended an accidental car fire at 2:30pm on the M1 between junctions 37 and 38, northbound. The crews left the scene at 2:55pm.

Doncaster firefighters were called out to an accidental fire involving a shed on allotments at 4pm on York Street, New Rossington, Doncaster. The crew left the scene at 5:05pm.
