Weekend incidents – 25/26/27 February

Friday 25 February

Firefighters from Rotherham, Central and Lowedges were called to Tummon Road, Sheffield, at 10.28pm. Upon arrival they found a fire in the living room that was out on arrival. This started through radiator heat setting fire to a faux leather couch over a prolonged period of time. This was dealt with by 11.15pm.

Saturday 26 February

Firefighters from Edlington and Doncaster were called to Raby Road, Wheatley, at 9.30am. Upon arrival they found a detached shed well alight. This was dealt with by 11.12am and is thought to have been started deliberately.

Firefighters from Edlington and Rivelin were called to Millindale Road, Maltby, at 12.03pm. Upon arrival they found a car and two vans well alight. This was dealt with by 12.55pm and is thought to have started accidentally – when one of the vans rolled down a hill and crashed into the other vehicles.

Firefighters from Maltby were called to Rotherwood Crescent, Thurcroft, at 7.32pm. Upon arrival they found a tumble dryer on fire in an outhouse. This was dealt with by 7.59pm and is thought to have started accidentally.

Sunday 27 February

Firefighters from Cudworth were called to Abbey Lane, Lundwood, at 3.23am. Upon arrival they found an abandoned car well alight. This was dealt with by 4.20am and is thought to have been started deliberately.
