Weekend incidents 26/27 April 2024

Friday 26 April

Adwick firefighters were called out to a deliberate fire involving a quad bike at 8:10pm on Askern Road, Bentley, Doncaster. The crew left the scene at 8:30pm.

Two fire crews from Barnsley and Cudworth stations attended a deliberate rubbish fire in a garage at 8:35pm on Oak Street, Barnsley. The crews came away at 9pm.

A car was accidentally on fire at 10:55pm on Broom Avenue, Broom, Rotherham. Firefighters from Rotherham station attended the incident. They left at 11:30pm.

Saturday 27 April

Two fire crews from central station attended a deliberate car fire at 12:20am on Lancing Road, Sheffield. The crew left the scene at 1:20am.

Dearne and Cudworth firefighters were called out to a deliberate garage fire at 1:15am on Michaels Estate, Grimethorpe, Barnsley. The crews came away at 2:15am.

A scooter was deliberately set on fire at 6:50pm on Wellington Crescent, Worsbrough Dale, Barnsley. Firefighters from Barnsley station attended the incident. They left at 7:20pm.

Firefighters from Askern station attended deliberate fire involving trees at 8:35pm on Churchfield Road, Campsall, Doncaster. The crew left the scene at 9:40pm.

Three fire crews from Lowedges, Birley and Central stations were called out to a deliberate garage fire at 10:05pm on Blackstock Drive, Sheffield. The crews left the scene at 11:15pm.

Sunday 28 April

A car was deliberately set on fire at 12:40am on Thirlwall Avenue, Conisbrough, Doncaster. Firefighters from Edlington station attended the incident. They left at 1:20am.

Firefighters from Edlington and Doncaster stations attended an accidental fire at a premise on Edlington Lane, Warmsworth, Doncaster at 1:55am. Garden furniture was on fire and had spread to the premise. Crews left the scene at 2:40am.

A car was deliberately set on fire at 2:55am on Stuart Street, Thurnscoe, Barnsley. Firefighters from Dearne station attended the incident. They left at 3:35am.

Two fire crews from Lowedges and Central stations attended an accidental flat fire at 5:45am on Green Oak Road, Sheffield. The fire was due to cooking. One man had smoke inhalation and was left in the care of the paramedics. Crews came away at 7:10am.

Firefighters from Rivelin, Central, Parkway and Birley stations were called out to a house fire at 11:30am on Ecclesall Road, Sheffield. The fire is believed to have started accidental. There were five casualties at the scene. Crews left the incident at 5:05pm.
