On Friday, crews were called at 4:40pm to a fire on Orgreave Drive in Sheffield. This fire was fortunately contained to a metal bin which was removed from the building and extinguished. Firefighters from Parkway, Aston and Central station attended the incident and left at 05:14pm deeming the fire to have started accidentally.
Still on Friday, firefighters were called to a fire on Houghton Road in Thurnscoe, Barnsley at around 05:25pm. This fire looked to have been caused by careless disposal of smoking materials into a full recycling bin which was located against a conservatory. The fire caused damage to the exterior structure and also damaged a fence panel. Crews from Dearne left the scene at around 6pm and deemed the fire to have started accidentally.
At 10:32pm Friday night, firefighters from Doncaster attended a fire on Bankwood Lane in New Rossington, Doncaster. This fire was approximately 50 Tonnes of general household recycling waste involved. Crews left at 00:51am and deemed the fire to have started accidentally.
On Saturday night at 07:59pm, firefighters were called to a fire involving a motorbike on Ouseburn Road in Sheffield. Crews left at 08:26pm and deemed the fire to have been started deliberately.
