Weekend incidents 27/29 March

At 8:25pm on Friday evening Penistone firefighters were called out to a small fire on the Trans Pennine Trail at Heathcliff Way, Penistone, Barnsley. The fire is believed to have been started deliberately. The crew left the scene at 8:50pm.

On Saturday evening three fire crews from Aston, Maltby and Rotherham stations attended a garden fire at 8:10pm on Birkdale Avenue, Dinnington, Rotherham. Conifers, fencing and a shed were involved. The fire had spread accidentally from a chiminea. Firefighters left the scene at 10:30pm.

A car was deliberately set on fire at 3:40am on Sunday morning. A fire crew from Central station attended the incident on Fleury Road, Sheffield. They left at 4:30am.

At 11:35am on Sunday three fire crews from Central and Rivelin stations were called out to an industrial recycling bin on fire on Holland Place, Sheffield. The fire is believed to have been started deliberately. The crews came away at 12:20pm.

Three fire crews from Doncaster and Edlington stations were called out to a flat fire at 2pm on Harris Road, Armthorpe, Doncaster. The kitchen was involved in fire. It is believed to have started accidentally due to cooking. Two men from two different flats were taken to hospital with smoke inhalation as a precaution. The crews came away at 3:20pm.
