Weekend incidents 27/29 October 2023

Friday 27 October

A car was deliberately set on fire at 8:45pm on Furlong Road, Goldthorpe, Barnsley. Firefighters from Dearne station attended the incident. They left at 9:40pm.

Dearne firefighters were called out to a deliberate car fire at 10:40pm on Challenger Crescent, Thurnscoe, Barnsley. The crew left the scene at 11:40pm.

Firefighters from Doncaster station attended an accidental fire involving a shed at 11:55pm on Colbeck Close, Armthorpe, Doncaster. The crew came away at 12:30am.

Saturday 28 October

Several vehicles were deliberately set on fire at 1am on Lidget Lane, Thurnscoe, Barnsley. Firefighters from Dearne and Adwick stations attended the incident. They left at 2:35am.

Three fire crews from Elm Lane, Central and Parkway stations were called out to a premise fire at 10am on Beacon Way, Sheffield. The accidental fire was in the kitchen area. There were no reports of any casualties. The crews came away at 12:20am.

A car was accidentally on fire at 1:10pm on Chesterfield Road South, Sheffield. Firefighters from Lowedges station attended the incident They left the scene at 1:50pm.

Firefighters from Rivelin and Central stations were called out to an outbuilding on fire at 4:05pm on Bosworth Street, Sheffield. The fire is believed to have started accidentally. Crews left the scene at 5:15pm.

Doncaster firefighters attended a deliberate car fire at 8:50pm on Top Road, Barnsley Dun, Doncaster. The crew came away at 9:40pm.

A car was deliberately set on fire at 9:40pm on Mill Lane, Harlington, Doncaster. Firefighters from Dearne station attended the incident. They left at 10:25pm.

Sunday 29 October

Firefighters from Rotherham station attended a deliberate fire involving a transit van at 1:20am on East Bawtry Road, Whiston, Rotherham. The crew left the scene at 1:55am.

Parkway firefighters were called out to a deliberate car fire at 1:40am on Stovin Drive, Sheffield. The crew left the scene at 2am.

A shed was deliberately set on fire at 4:25pm on Milefield Lane, Grimethorpe, Barnsley. Firefighters from Cudworth station attended the incident. They left at 5:10pm.
