Weekend incidents 27 to 29 January 2023

Friday 27 January

Dearne firefighters were called out to a deliberate vehicle fire at 7:15pm on Buckleigh Road, Wath Upon Dearne, Rotherham. The crew left the scene at 7:45pm.

A car was deliberately set on fire at 9:55pm on Holmes Carr Crescent, New Rossington, Doncaster.  Firefighters from Doncaster station attended the incident. They left at 10:45pm.

Saturday 28 January

Three fire crews from Stocksbridge, Barnsley and Tankersley stations were called out to an accidental chimney fire at 12:30am on Manchester Road, Flouch, Barnsley. The crews left the scene at 2:15am.

Firefighters from Elm Lane, Parkway and Central stations attended a fire at an industrial premise on Sheffield Road, Templeborough, Rotherham at 10:05am. The fire is believed to have started accidentally. The crews came away at 12:05pm.

Central and Rivelin stations were called out to an accidental premise fire at 2:40pm on Hamilton Road, Sheffield. The fire was in the basement area. Crews left the scene at 5:30pm.

A car was accidentally on fire at 9pm on North Common Road, Thorne, Doncaster. Firefighters from Thorne station attended the incident. They left at 9:45pm.

Rotherham firefighters were called out to a deliberate van fire at 10pm on Droppingwell Road, Kimberworth, Rotherham. The crew left the scene at 10:45pm.

Sunday 29 January

Firefighters from Maltby station were called out to a deliberate fire involving a van at 5:05am on Elgar Drive, Maltby, Rotherham. The crew came away at 6:10am.

Two fire crews from Central stations attended a fire at a derelict building on Rutland Road, Sheffield at 9:25am. The fire is believed to have started deliberately. The crews left the scene at 10am.
