One fire engine attended a car fire on Primrose Close, Bolton Upon Dearne, Barnsley after a call was received at 11.49pm. One hose reel was used to extinguish the fire and the incident had been dealt with by 12.19am.

Saturday 

One fire engine attended a kitchen fire Whitley Lane, Sheffield after a call was received at 10.10am. The homeowner managed to extinguish the fire which was caused by a candle that had ignited some nearby cardboard. Firefighters used a positive pressure fan to ventilate the property and came away from the scene shortly after 10.55pm.

Four fire engines attended a road traffic collision on the M1 Northbound between junctions 34 and 35. This involved one van and a truck. Crews extricated one woman who was trapped and then came away from the scene at 3.24pm.
