Friday 3 March

Firefighters from Adwick were called to Cooke Street, Bentley, at 7.28pm. Upon arrival they found a small van, which had been abandoned in the middle of the road, well alight. This was dealt with by 8.36pm and is thought to have been started deliberately.

Sunday 5 March

Firefighters from Tankersley were called to Wentworth Road, Elsecar, at 6.36pm. Upon arrival they found a large campfire had been set alight and left unattended in a woodland area. This was dealt with by 7.21pm and is thought to have been started deliberately.
