Weekend incidents 4/6 April 2025

Friday 4 April

A van was deliberately set on fire at 10:35pm on Fleury Road, Sheffield. Firefighters from Central station attended the incident. They left at 11:15pm.

Saturday 5 April

Three fire crews from Dearne, Elm Lane and Rotherham stations were called out to a premise on Allott Crescent, Jump, Barnsley at 1:20pm. The small fire is currently under investigation. All occupants were already out of the premise when crews arrived. Firefighters left the scene at 2:35pm.

Barnsley firefighters attended a bonfire which was accidentally out of control and had spread to a shed and shipping container at 8:45pm on Barnsley Road, Cudworth, Barnsley. Crews left the scene at 10:05pm.

Firefighters from Central and Elm Lane stations were called out to an accidental fire involving an outbuilding at 9:25pm on Attercliffe Road, Sheffield. The crew came away at 11:25pm.

Sunday 6 April

Three fire crews from Maltby, Rotherham and Edlington stations attended a fire in a detached garage at 2:05pm on Balmoral Way, Bramley, Rotherham. The fire is believed to have started accidentally. Crews left the scene at 3:25pm.
