On Friday, firefighters from Dearne were called at 07:52pm to a vehicle fire on Milton Road in Mexborough. This was a Audi A4 with a faulty interior light. The owner could smell something burning and managed to get home safe. The inside of the car was well alight. Crews left the scene at 08:27pm.
At 09:27pm on Friday, firefighters from Doncaster attended a small vehicle fire on Almond Road in Cantley. This was a car on fire on the driveway of a property. Luckily nobody was injured in the incident but this incident was believed to have been started deliberately. Crews left at 10:16pm.
One Toyota Corrola was set alight on Plantation Court in Dinnington on Friday. Crews were called to the scene at 10:01pm. Firefighters from Aston Park attended and deemed the fire to be deliberate. A neighbouring vehicle, a Renault Captur, was also damaged.
In the early hours of Saturday morning (02:36am), crews from Elm Lane were called to a vehicle fire on Avisford Road in Sheffield. This was reported to be one car on fire, but on arrival two cars were found to be alight. The cars involved were a Renault and a BMW. The smoke from the cars also entered a property on the road and scorched the door of another property. Nobody was injured and the fire was deemed to be deliberate. Crews left at 03:28am.
On Roy Kilner Road in Wombwell, firefighters from Cudworth were called to a vehicle fire at 08:33pm Saturday night. The vehicle compartment of this vehicle was well alight upon arrival of the fire service. This fire was believed to have been started deliberately and firefighters left the scene at 09:06pm.
In the early hours of Sunday morning (02:43am), firefighters from Doncaster were called to a vehicle fire on Primrose Place in Bessacarr, Doncaster. This vehicle was well alight parked outside a block of flats. The fire was believed to be deliberate and crews left at 03:21am.
At 09:20am Sunday morning, firefighters from Central and Rivelin stations attended an incident on Georges Court on Beet Street in Sheffield. This was a toaster that had caught fire as the occupier had left the flat momentarily. The fire was deemed to be accidental and luckily nobody was hurt. Crews left at 09:37am.
