Crews from Barnsley, Tankersley and Cudworth attended an incident at 1:50am on Monday. They were called to Osmond Place, Worsborough in Barnsley – on arrival they found the house was well alight.

Wearing breathing apparatus, they entered the property and were able to bring the blaze under control using a hose reel. They rescued one female casualty who was left in the hands of the ambulance service and transported to hospital.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
