Crews tackle a number of car fires overnight

Firefighters were busy overnight tackling three car fires, two in the Barnsley area and one in Doncaster.

At 11:15pm Dearne station attended a car on Queensway in Hoyland, Barnsley.  The car was very badly damaged and is believed to have started due to it over heating.

Then at 12:10am on Obby Lane, Tickhill, Doncaster a fire crew from Edlington station were called out to a car fire in a field, this fire was started deliberately.

The last incident was at Burn Place, New Lodge in Barnsley, crews from Cudworth station were called at 00:30am to a car on fire on a driveway which is thought to have been caused by an electrical fault.
