Firefighters from Elm Lane, Central and Parkway were called to a house fire on Scott Road, Sheffield, at 8.36pm last night (Wednesday 23 October).

Upon arrival they found a fire in the loft. Breathing apparatus wearers entered the property to extinguish the fire, before investigating the cause.

There were no injuries and it is thought the fire started accidentally, through a light fitting.

Crews left the scene at around 10.30pm.
