Firefighters attend three cooker related incidents

Over the weekend, fire crews attended three separate cooking related incidents across South Yorkshire.

The first incident was reported in Thorne at 19:26 on Friday. Crews from Thorne attended King Street and were greeted by a smoke logged premises. The occupier had left food cooking in the microwave unattended which had consequently burnt. The property was ventilated and there were no injuries.

The second incident was reported in Sheffield at 20:11 on Friday. Firefighters from Parkway and Central attended Uttley Close and found an electric cooker had been left unattended. The property was ventilated to clear the smoke logging and there were no injuries.

The final incident was reported in Sheffield at 04:43 on Saturday. Crews from Central and Rivelin attended Castle Street where an electric cooker had been left on. The property was ventilated to clear the smoke logging and there were no injuries.
