Four fire crews from Central, Parkway and Birley Moor stations were called to a fire in a semi-detached house on Harborough Avenue in Sheffield at 4:30am on Friday morning.

On arrival firefighters wearing breathing apparatus searched the property to check for anyone casualties, luckily no-one was inside at the time.  A bedroom was well alight and crews used two jets to tackle the blaze.

The fire is believed to have started accidentally due to electrics.

Firefighters left the scene at 6:25am.
