Fire crews from Elm Lane, Rivelin and Central stations were called to a fire at a property on Adrian Crescent, Sheffield at 9pm on Wednesday.

A fire in a garden had spread to the outside of the semi-detached house with smoke going inside.  Luckily the family were not home at the time.  A number of cats and a dog were inside, but they were all unharmed.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire using hose reels.

An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
