Overnight incidents – 18/19 May

Firefighters from Askern and Adwick were called to Bar Croft Lane, Moss, at 7.26pm. Upon arrival they found a fire involving a light goods vehicle and some stockpiled building materials. This was dealt with by 10.30pm and is thought to have started with a bonfire that spread out of control.

Firefighters from Rotherham were called to Phoenix Riverside, Templeborough, at 8.08pm. Upon arrival they found a small rubbish fire. This was dealt with by 8.26pm and is thought to have been started deliberately.

Firefighters from Aston Park were called to Field Lane, Morthen, at 0.44am. Upon arrival they found one transit van well alight. This was dealt with by 1.49am and is thought to have been started deliberately, due to the fact the engine had been taken out.

Firefighters from Elm Lane and Central were called to Crabtree Close 2.54am. Upon arrival they found a garage had been set alight, deliberately, and was starting to spread to the kitchen of the attached house. This was dealt with by 4.26am and nobody was inside the house at the time.

Firefighters from Edlington were called to Regent Street, Balby, at 3.53am. Upon arrival they found a courtyard garden well alight with a shed, outbuilding and several fences all involved. This was dealt with by 4.49am and is thought to have been started deliberately.
