Overnight incidents 19/20 April 2021

Firefighters from Central station were called to a bin fire at 7:25pm on Endcliffe Park, Rustlings Road, Sheffield. The fire is believed to have been started accidentally due to a disposable BBQ. The crew came away at 7:40pm.

A fire crew from Cudworth station attended a deliberate grass fire at 7:50pm on Lund Hill Lane, Royston, Barnsley. Firefighters left the scene at 8:30pm.

Wood chippings and grass were deliberately set on fire at 7:50pm on Far Field Lane, Monk Bretton, Barnsley. Firefighters from Cudworth station attended the incident. They left at 8:30pm.

A motorbike was deliberately set on fire at 8:15pm on Batemoor Road, Sheffield. Firefighters from Lowedges station attended the incident. They came away at 8:45pm.

Dearne firefighters were called out to a deliberate rubbish fire at 8:15pm on Goldthorpe Green, Goldthorpe, Barnsley. The crew left the scene at 8:25pm.

Firefighters from Central station were called out to a deliberate grass fire at 8:30pm on Holgate Avenue, Sheffield. The crew came away at 8:55pm.

At 8:30pm firefighters from Central station attended a deliberate grass fire on Scraith Wood Drive, Sheffield. The crew left the scene at 9:20pm.

A bin was deliberately set on fire at 9:20pm on Corporation Street, Rotherham. Firefighters from Rotherham station attended the incident. They came away at 9:35pm.

Cudworth firefighters were called out to a grass banking on fire at 9:55pm on Sandybridge Lane, Shafton, Barnsley. The fire is believed to have been started deliberately. The crew left the scene at 10:55pm.

Two wheelie bins and a mattress were deliberately set on fire at 10:20pm on College Terrace, Darfield, Barnsley. Firefighters from Dearne station attended the incident. They left at 10:45pm.

Two fire crews from Edlington and Doncaster stations were called to a bungalow at 3:20am on Newbridge Grove, Edlington, Doncaster. The fire was in the kitchen and had started accidentally due to a tea towel left on the hob. The occupant went to hospital as a precaution. Firefighters left the scene at 4:15am.
