Overnight incidents 23/24 July 2024

Elm Lane firefighters were called out to a deliberate fire involving grassland at 8:05pm on Clover Gardens, Sheffield. The crew left the scene at 8:25pm.

A vehicle was deliberately set on fire at 8:25pm on Moorends Road, Moorends, Doncaster. Firefighters from Thorne station attended the incident. They left at 9pm.

Firefighters from Central and Parkway station were called to a road traffic collision at 8:35pm on Granville Road, Sheffield. The RTC involved three vehicles (2 cars and a bus), luckily no one needed to be extricated from any vehicle. Crews left the scene at 9pm.

A motorbike was deliberately set on fire at 8:35pm on Daresbury Place, Sheffield. Firefighters from Birley and Lowedges stations attended the incident. They left at 9pm.

Barnsley and Tankersley firefighters attended a deliberate fire involving cut grass at 9:10pm on Ardsley Road, Worsbrough Dale, Barnsley. The crew left the scene at 11:45pm.

Two wheelie bins were accidentally on fire at 9:50pm on Crookesmoor Road, Sheffield. Firefighters from Central station attended the incident. They left at 10:05pm.

Adwick firefighters attended a deliberately vehicle fire at 11:05pm on Rockley Lane, Owston, Doncaster. The crew came away at 12am.

Firefighters from Maltby station attended a deliberate fire involving garden waste at 11:10pm on Maltby Lane, Braithwell, Doncaster. The crew left the scene at 12am.

Birley firefighters were called out to an animal rescue incident at 11:25pm on Station Road, Halfway, Sheffield. A cat was stuck behind a radiator. Firefighters were able to release the cat which was none the worse for it’s ordeal. Crews left the scene at 11:45pm.
