Overnight incidents 23/24 August 2022

Central firefighters were called out to a deliberate fire involving bushes at 8:10pm on Seaton Place, Sheffield. The crew left the scene at 8:40pm.

Firefighters from Doncaster station attended deliberate grass fire at 8:45pm on Sandy Lane, Belle Vue, Doncaster. The crew came away at 9:25pm.

A fire crew from Cudworth station were called out to tyres on fire at 8:50pm on Laithes Lane, Athersley South, Barnsley. The fire is believed to have been started deliberately. The crew left the scene at 9:20pm.

Rotherham firefighters attended a deliberate rubbish fire at 9:10pm on Great Eastern Way, Parkgate, Rotherham. The crew came away at 9:20pm.

A bin was accidentally on fire at 9:10pm on Busk Meadow, Sheffield. Firefighters from Elm Lane station attended the incident. They left at 9:25pm.

Cudworth firefighters attended a deliberate rubbish fire in a layby on Sheffield Road, Barnsley at 9:55pm. The crew left the scene at 10:25pm.

Firefighters from Thorne station were called out to a rubbish fire in a field at 10:20pm on York Road, Dunscroft, Doncaster. The fire is believed to have been started deliberatley. The crew came away at 10:40pm.

Rotherham firefighters attended a deliberate grass fire at 3:10am on Henley Rise, Thornhill, Rotherham. The crew left the scene at 3:20pm.

Three fire crews from Rotherham, Dearne and Aston stations were called out to a dog in a canal at Main Street in Rotherham Town Centre at 5:50am.  Firefighters were able to reach the dog with a pole and line and safely rescued the dog. Firefighters left the scene at 6:30am. The dog was left with the police.
