Overnight incidents 5/6 September

Crews from Rotherham were called to an incident at 08:56pm last night (Sunday 5 September) on New Wortley Road, Masbrough. This was a vehicle fire around the drivers wheel area. They left the scene at 09:28pm and deemed the fire to have started deliberately.

One crew from Maltby was called to a small vehicle fire on Acacia avenue in Maltby at 01:43am this morning (Monday 6 September). This fire was started under the near side rear wheel arch. Crews left at 02:23am and said the car had been set alight deliberately.

At 03:56am this morning, one crew from central was called to a small vehicle fire on Periwood Drive in Sheffield. This was a Peugeot 207 that had been set alight. Firefighters left at 04:54am and said the fire had been started deliberately.

Another car had been set alight in Sheffield in the early hours of this morning. Firefighters from Elm Lane were called to Oxted Road in Sheffield at 04:55am. This was a BMW involved. Crews left the scene at 05:45am and said the car had been set alight deliberately.

A Honda Jazz had been deliberately set alight at 05:43am this morning on Kenwood Road in Sheffield. A crew from Central attended and left the scene at 06:16am. They said the car had been set alight deliberately.
