Weekend incidents 30 July to 1 August 2021

Three fire crews from Elm Lane, Rivelin and Central stations were called out to a deliberate fire in an unoccupied flat on Willington Road, Sheffield at 11:30pm (Friday). Two casualties from near by flats were left in the care of the ambulance crews. Firefighters left the scene at 1:40am.

A car was accidentally on fire at 1:20am (Saturday) on Doncaster Road, Barnsley. Firefighters from Cudworth station attended the incident. They left at 1:45am.

Firefighters from Thorne and Doncaster station were called out to a deliberate fire involving a small boat in a backyard at 2:50am (Saturday) on Broadway, Dunscroft, Doncaster. The fire crews left the scene at 3:30am.

Two fire crews from Stocksbridge and Barnsley stations attended an accidental fire involving a tractor at 11am (Saturday) on Royd Mill Hill, Penistone, Barnsley. The firefighters came away at 11:55am.

A vehicle was deliberately set on fire at 10:40pm (Saturday) on Old Crown Gardens, Great Houghton, Barnsley.  Two fire crews from Dearne and Cudworth stations attended the incident. They came away at 11:30pm.

Rotherham firefighters attended an accidental fire involving a motorised bicycle at 11:20pm (Saturday) on Monkwood Road, Rawmarsh, Rotherham. The crew left at 11:35am.

Five fire crews from Central, Rivelin, Elm Lane, Parkway and Lowedges stations attended an accidental fire in a flat at 12am (Sunday) on Alma Street, Sheffield. A tea light is believed to have caused the fire. The crews left the scene at 1am.

At 3:20am (Sunday) firefighters from Elm Lane, Central, Parkway, Birley Moor and Lowedges stations were called out to premise fire on Wensley Green, Sheffield. The cause of the fire is not known. Firefighters left the scene at 5:35am.

Two fire crews from Aston and Maltby stations were called out to a premise fire at 3:30am (Sunday) on Church Lane, Dinnington, Rotherham. The occupants were already out of the premise when crews arrived. The fire is believed to have been caused by a tea light in a bedroom. Firefighters left the scene at 5:10am.

Firefighters from Parkway and Birley Moor stations attended a flat fire at 12:50pm (Sunday) on Smelter Wood Road, Sheffield. The fire was accidental and involved cooking. The fire crews left the scene at 1:35pm.
