Weekend incidents 5/7 August 2022

Friday 5 August

Two fire crew from Cudworth and Barnsley station were called out to a flat fire at 10:35pm on East Pinfold, Royston, Barnsley. The fire is believed to have started accidentally. One man went to hospital with smoke inhalation. The crews left the scene at 12:15am.

A car was deliberately set on fire at 11:25pm on Carrill Drive, Sheffield. Firefighters from Elm Lane station attended the incident. They left at 11:45pm.

Saturday 6 August

Edlington firefighters were called out to a deliberate car fire at 5am on Suffolk View, Denaby Main, Doncaster. The crew came away at 6:05am.

Three fire crews from Cudworth, Barnsley and Tankersley stations attended an accidental field fire involving standing corn at 11:10am on Parkhead Close, Royston, Barnsley. The crews left the scene at 1:55pm.

Firefighters from Elm Lane station attended a vehicle fire at 1:15pm on Frickley Bridge, Brierley, Barnsley. The fire is believed to have started accidentally. The crew left the scene at 2:10pm.

Fire crews from Edlington, Doncaster and Adwick stations were called out to an accidental flat fire at 1:55pm on Urban Road, Hexthorpe, Doncaster. The crews came away at 4:35pm.

Several fire crews were called out to a field fire involving standing corn at 2:40pm on Droppingwell Road, Kimberworth, Rotherham. The fire is believed to have been started deliberately. Crews left the scene at 4:10pm.

Sunday 7 August

A car was deliberately set on fire at 3am on Armthorpe Road, Wheatley Hills, Doncaster. Firefighters from Doncaster station attended the incident. They left at 3:40am.

Two fire crews from Rotherham station attended an accidental vehicle fire at 12:55pm on the M1 Junction 33 to Junction 34, northbound. The crews left the scene at 1:45pm.
