Firefighters from Central, Birley Moor and Parkway, were called at 2.50am to a fire on the 12th floor balcony of a high rise block of flats on Norwich South Street, Park Hill, Sheffield. Firefighters from Thorne were called at 11.17am to reports of a chimney fire at a cottage on East Bank, Stainforth. Upon arrival they found a small fire in a chimney caused by a log burner. This was extinguished by 12.22pm.

Sunday 9 February

Firefighters from Barnsley, Cudworth and Tankersley were called at 1.26pm to reports of a flat fire on Duke Crescent, Barnsley. Upon arrival they found a heavily smoke logged flat.
