Firefighters from Central had to extinguish an out-of-control bonfire last night (Wednesday 22 May) after being called at 7.31pm.
A hosereel was used to tackle the fire which was out by 7.53pm. The call was to a property on Horninglow Road.
Nobody was injured but the service is urging people to cut out non-essential bonfires during warmer weather – and instead dispose of waste through local authority waste recycling centres.
