Firefighters responded to an incident on the A57 near Todwick on Friday morning.

Some chemicals had been found at the side of the road, which was closed as a precaution.

Crews from Aston, Central, Birley Moor and Parkway and specialist officers were called to the scene just after 8am.

Officers worked to identify the chemicals before declaring the scene safe.

Fire crews came away from the scene at around 10.30am.
